About Dholera Ji

Dholera Ji exists because the honest, human questions about Dholera, what is it like to work here and what is it like to be here, were drowned out by land marketing. We are an independent, non-commercial reference for the people and place of Dholera. We take no money from developers, we do not sell plots, and we source every claim. This page explains who we are, what we will and will not do, and how we decide what belongs on the site.

Why we built this

Search for Dholera and you meet a wall of the same promise: buy now, appreciation guaranteed, the next Gurgaon. Very little of it is checkable, and almost none of it tells you what the place is actually like. Meanwhile two real stories were going untold. One is that Dholera is becoming a genuine workplace, with a semiconductor fab under construction and a skilling ecosystem forming around it, and people want to know how to get a job there. The other is that this coast holds a four-thousand-year-old Harappan dock, a 1930 salt satyagraha, and some of Gujarat's best birding, and travellers want to actually go. Dholera Ji was built to serve those two audiences with plain, sourced information and nothing to sell them.

What we do

We publish two kinds of pages. The careers cluster covers the employers building in Dholera, the individual technical and support roles, skilling routes from ITI trades and diplomas to B.Tech and apprenticeships, certifications, salaries as sourced indicative ranges, and the practical side of relocation, housing, cost of living and the commute from Ahmedabad. The heritage cluster covers Lothal and the Indus Valley Civilisation, the National Maritime Heritage Complex, the wildlife of Velavadar and Nalsarovar, the Gulf of Khambhat and Bhal coastal ecology, the culture and food of the region, and travel guides with real timings and routes. A small set of tools, a salary explorer, a skilling pathway finder and a trip planner, help you act on what you read.

What we will not do

We will not sell you land or connect you to anyone who does. We will not quote a rupee-per-square-yard price as if it were a fact, because those numbers come only from broker sites and are not reliably sourced. We will not promise appreciation or assured returns, because no government source guarantees them and land acquisition here has a litigated history, including a Gujarat High Court stay on SIR acquisition in 2015. We will not state a firm airport opening date, because that target has slipped repeatedly since around 2010. We will not say anything grey or defamatory about a named developer. And we will never invent a figure to fill a gap.

How we decide what is true

Every claim is tagged in our own working notes as durable, reported or target, or flagged as not reliably sourced. Durable facts come from government notifications, official project pages such as dholera.gujarat.gov.in and nicdc.in, PIB releases, the Central Electricity Authority, the Archaeological Survey of India, Census 2011 or the Gujarati Vishwakosh. Reported figures come from credible press and are labelled as such. Targets, which is most of what makes Dholera exciting, are labelled as targets so you never mistake a plan for a fact. When sources conflict, for instance the exact built-up area of the ABCD building or whether the expressway is four or six lanes as built, we show both and flag the conflict rather than picking one silently.

Independence and contact

Dholera Ji is independent and non-commercial. We are not affiliated with DSIRDA, DICDL, NICDC, Tata Electronics, or any developer or brokerage. If we ever add advertising or affiliate links, we will label them clearly and keep them out of the factual body of pages. If you spot an error, or a number that has moved, please tell us. Our sourcing is meant to be auditable, so a correction with a source is the most useful message you can send. See the contact page for how to reach us, and the methodology page for the full detail on how we source and update the site.

FAQ

Who runs Dholera Ji?

It is an independent editorial project about the Dholera region, not connected to any government body, developer or brokerage. Our focus is careers and heritage, the two subjects most poorly served by the existing land-sales content about Dholera.

Do you make money from property sales?

No. We do not sell plots, take developer commissions, or generate leads for brokers. That independence is the reason the site exists. If we ever introduce advertising, it will be clearly labelled and kept out of the factual content.

How often is the information updated?

We fold new, sourced developments into the relevant pages as they are confirmed, and log major changes on the updates page. Because much of Dholera runs on shifting targets, dates and statuses are written to be read at the time of the source, which we cite.
