This glossary collects the terms you meet most often and defines them clearly, without assuming you already know the field. Where a term deserves a full treatment, the entry links to a dedicated page. Nothing here is invented; definitions rest on official and well-established sources, and where a term carries a target or a caveat, we say so.

The terms we define
